Video 6 Review (Introduction – Master Your Money Mindset)
This intro video can be used as a landing page video. A call to action at the end of the video would be a good idea if used as a landing page video.
- This video was recorded in a resolution of 1280 x 720 which is a smaller video than the usual 1920 x 1080. This means that the quality of the video will be slightly lower but this is negligible. Please always record in full HD 1920 x 1080
- Try to make sure you are looking into the lens and not at the screen while recording.
- Your video was slightly cloudy in appearance, this normally means the lens was not clean. Ensure the lens is clean and avoid putting your fingers on the lens during the setup up of the camera.
- At the end of every video, Look into the camera lens and continue to smile for at least 7 seconds.
- Your choice of clothing is good and the sound quality has greatly improved.
- The ring light is reflecting in your glasses so we are going to have raise the light and tilt it forward. I will say more about this later.
Video 7 Review (Lesson 1- Master Your Money Mindset)
- The intro graphic in the videos uses the Silver South Script font which was provided by you. This font, in my opinion, is tricky to read at first glance and may be difficult for others to read and follow.
- I am waiting for the graphic slide you mentioned for insertion into the lesson.
- This video has a constant hammering noise in the background. This is extremely distracting and diverts attention from what you are saying.I recommend recording this video again.

Overall Review
Below are 5 videos of varying degrees of editing. Your video editing will fall into one of 4 classes. The 5 videos below can be used as examples.
Class 1 Edit (video 5 and video 1)
A Class 1 edit consists of (Enhancements to audio and picture quality, text, motion graphics (logos) to ensure full understanding of the content of the video). We can use this kind of edit for promo videos and ads to invite people for a free sign up or to a landing page designed to sell a product or service.
Class 2 Edit (video 2 and video 3)
A Class 2 edit consists of (Enhancements to audio and picture quality, text, motion graph graphics. Titles and text will only appear to emphasise some of the key points in the video). We can use this edit for special social media posts. These posts will subliminally say to people “This is important free personal development information” Your logo animation will appear at the beginning of the video.
Class 3 Edit (video 4)
A Class 3 edit consists of (Enhancements to audio and picture quality, title graphics and footer graphics, no text). Your logo and personal brand will appear during the video or at the end of the video.
Class 4 (Your videos without editing)
These are videos which you publish which have not been sent to me for editing
Video 5 Review (Class 1 edit)
The location and lighting of this video are very good, well done, no improvements needed here. The sound quality still requires improvement. I have recommended a microphone for you here. This video is very good in my opinion. After completing the edit, I could only find two small problems.
(1) In this video, you appear to be reading notes from a script or points from a list (Is this correct?). If you are not reading bullet points then you must look at the lens of the camera and not the screen. This is the best way to connect to your audience.
(2) As mentioned above this video refers to 6 modules ut in the video I could only find four distinct mentions of modules.
Video 4 Review (Class 2 edit)
This video is wonderful. I really like the fanfare of the horn at the beginning of the video to indicate to the viewer that some special information is coming. This video will look good on Facebook and Instagram because it is a square video.
The location is OK although I would not advise filming against a window because it is likely that your face will darken to compensate for the light coming through the window. This video, however, works because you are close to the camera lens and the camera is ignoring the window. As a result of this, the window is over-exposed and you cannot see any detail outside of the window but this is not needed and actually makes for a good effect around your face.
Your sound quality must be improved it is the most important aspect of your video production, sound quality comes first. Microphone here.
Your floral dress is very good and will most likely give a welcoming feeling to your audience.
Video 3 Review (Class 2 edit)
This video is an alternative to video 4. I like the way the main points are displayed on the screen and remain. This will give the viewers more to think about while they are listening to you. This style may not suit all videos and generally will suit situations when you are talking through a list.
The location is a little bland but the focus is more on you so in my opinion it is fine. Lighting is missing from this video and so too is good sound quality. Ring light here Microphone here
Video 2 Review
Having videos which just help to raise your online brand awareness is a good idea and will help relieve the monotony of all of your videos appearing the same. We will try to associate your logo and branding with your message as much as possible which is “development of the mind” and “how to think to achieve your goals”

Thank you Chris for the video, I think it’s a great start and have given me quiet a lot I can review on myself. You actually picked the video of all three that I did without any thinking before hand, very much off the cuff. So I can see I must get much sharper in my content and really follow the ‘structure’ you have suggested to me which I believe are:
The best practice for creating pre-recorded videos is to have bullet points in your head and expand on them in the video. The easiest and quickest way to record your video is to write down the bullet points of what you are going to say. Then stop to look at each bullet point and carry on filming without turning off the camera. Your pauses and mistakes can be taken out in the edit so it is ok to pause, look at your next point, recompose yourself and continue. This way none of your big points will be missed in the final video. The video I chose “How are you showing up” had the best content in my opinion and the way you delivered the video was very natural

Yes, but not everytime. We want to focus more small pieces of valuable information as you are doing currently

Your Backgrounds
I like the backgrounds, I think they suit you. However right now it looks like it was done with a phone and not much effort. Video is a way of sending subliminal messages to viewers. Ideally you want your viewers to know that you are strong meaning that you have taken time, money and effort to deliver a quality message which is worth your viewers time. We must bare in mind that every-time you go online you are making a first impression to someone and usually that first impression is made in the first 3 to 7 seconds. So how do you want to show up to that person who could be your ideal client. We must always hold these thoughts in mind. Occasionally you can be a bit more casual with your appearance both in terms of video quality and your personal appearance as more regular viewers will feel more at home with you. So in essence sometimes you want to cater for totally new viewers and other times on your faithful audience so you are either building your audience or strengthening your following.
My comments on the backgrounds
I believe all of the backgrounds work ok, including the plain wall which is normally frowned on, we just require more light on your face and to change the scene as you record from one video to the next. The lighting will also help your camera phone produce a better quality image. One more background (outside) is required but there is no rush for this. We could explore the possibility of you walking and talking at the same time in the future also.
My comments on make-up and clothing
I believe you have this spot on, your style and the way present yourself is very good. You also tend to change your hair and make-up from time to time which is good. I would say keep doing what you are doing. I think Picture E is a nice look but I would only do that for 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 videos and match it to a feel good topic perhaps.
It relation to the equipment, I have put the microphone in my basket, and I wanted to ask about the lighting…..I am sure its what I require, but to say I am not in any technical and there look to be lots of bits to it all! do I need something that sophisticated? If I do no problem, just checking.
Yes, I believe this is the most versatile, affordable and professional of lighting. What we want to do is eliminate shadows in as many of your videos as possible. This kind of light will help. I believe you can do without the lighting but if you want to take your production to the next level, I highly recommend you do get this lighting. It will certainly add to the quality and variety of how you show up. Again let’s be thinking about your first impression scenarios when you are thinking about reaching out to more people

Ok great Mandy, you will have to do this before you upload your videos else they maybe deleted or silenced on the social media platforms.
The visual feedback was also good….what am I wearing, makeup, my hair etc ……a fair bit to consider I think

I think the first few are pretty much practice video’s from my view, but would like to see one of the others as well….probably not both, as I want to improve each time so will do a couple of new ones based on your feedback.
For me your off the cuff approach of the video created so far seem to work best. The background of picture B looks best and the clothing of D and E are nice and suit your personality. I cannot say what hair and make works best as this is more down to audience preference. I would say keep varying it between the look of Picture B, Picture D and Picture E

Editor’s Notes – Week 17 Video 1
Hi Mandy, I really enjoy listening to your little talks, feels like I am learning something new every time, it’s great and makes me feel good to listen. Pretty sure many others feel the same way too. The things you say really makes sense.
OK I have created a draft video for you. Tell me what you think about this as a template going forward for other videos. Feel free to request changes to the video (add or remove things). This video is a starting point for conversation. Essentially what we are doing is building you as a person and building your brand. So we will create a theme and strengthen it over time.
This is a square video good for Facebook and Instagram. At times we should put call to actions at the end of videos and avoid links. Links can’t be avoided entirely but Facebook tends not to like them and don’t push them out as far to viewers.
Next Step
If you like this video the next step would be to create a 16:9 (landscape) version of this video for Youtube.
Production Advice (Week 17)
Sound
The video I have created here for you has music attached to it. I have edited this video in this way so that you can see all of the options you have. If you would like to use music in your videos we must license all music you use to avoid videos being deleted by the social media platforms. The best place get music for your channels is a site called epidemic sound (Yes, this is what they call themselves they have been around for many years). All of my social media sites are licensed with them. They have the right balance of quality and affordability. It will cost approximately £11 per month to license together with your Facebook page, your Youtube channel and your Instagram account (£11 for 3 of your channels using the personal package). Mandy if you want to take your video production to a more professional level I highly recommend the purchase of a microphone for your phone. The sound quality is not bad but I did have to enhance it in the edit which takes time. I recommend the following microphone for you – Microphone
Picture
It is important that you record your videos for editing in landscape. This means turning the phone on its side and recording that way. I will have more options for editing your video. Recording vertically limits what we can do in the edit,
I highly recommend that you get some lighting for your production. This will hugely improve your video quality. Here is my recommendation for a single light – Ring Light
Location
Filming against a plain wall is not recommend, a bookshelf or some other ornamental structure would be better. Please film yourself in a few locations and allow me to take a look and advise. Depth into an open room is best with background lighting. We will get to background lighting later after we have discovered a few good locations.
Great Mandy, really enjoyed working on this video. The edits will get faster over time once we establish a good template.
